hey guys if we pitch our e34 525 24V against the e39 525 which one will take who in a highway battle? e39 has more hp rite? but how will the outcome be? or even against the newer e60 525....

our e34 is much heavier rite? so will we lose out...never really tried before....

The e39 will woop the E34 ass. hhahaa.... why, because simply the E39 525 has more power than than the E34 525.

Same anology with the Nissan Skyline beat the Porchse GT3 in Nurburging not long ago. But would we want a Skyline over a Porchse. No way man, no way a Porchse can give the same feel as the Skyline even if it's faster.

Same goes for E39 over E34. It doesn't give the same feel. Yes, the E39 is more refine, quieter, beter NVH, smoother engine. But the sitting position, the steering feel, the drive, the balance of the car without the avionics, the engine sound, the exhaust note (especially the M30).

Anyway, this is just my feel.

Once i get a committee going I will open up a new thread once we have finalized a venue. We can discuss a simple TT, possible 4 or 5 pm, really Teh Tarik time,Saturday or Sunday, in a nice restaurant , facing a big open air car park.

Ideas, suggestions are more then welcomed.

I have to agree that the E34s are a great machine, though back in time, I have driven the 39 & 60 bit i feel that th 34 is very much a man's car like the VW Golf Mk2 which i still enjoy compared to Mk3 & 4 but Mk 5...........different breed man !!!

I was thinking that though it's nice to meet up at a mamak where the parking is aplenty, why not meet up in a place where a lot of people lalu-lalang. I have a friend who runs the Mamak in Centrepoint,BU and he can make arrangements for the parking lots to be cleared if we confirm his place as our meeting point plus he is getting his E46 330i next week and will be loing this club very soon.

Couldnt agree more with you guys, the E34 is really an ultimate driving experience even with my 20 year old 34.
Sounds like its gonna be fun,.. Mamak at Centrepoint BU. Love to help out but im shuttling between Melaka and KL these days. Lets see how's the timing of the first meet if i can make it.
