Wow, if this doesn't hammer home the sheer benefits of going down the diesel route, I don't know what else will! Thanks to Paultan.org for the article!

Maybe its time to go diesel..320d perhaps..the distance covered is simply awesome..:top:

like i once said....diesel is the new petrol....imo...:top:

Torque & Range is the 2 Utmost factors when considering a daily workhorse!

Hahaha... One day. So far the diesel guys are having a wonderful time with their cars...

Just need to remove the particular filter, even the latest Cayenne diesel, and voila, it will run on our Euro2M with little issues...

But then again....it was done on Germany's longest stretch from Austria to Denmark....

The torquey engine is the pulling factor besides the high mileage gained..

Hmm, I thought the Isuzu D Max challenge was also done on our NSE a couple of years back?

Haha. Oh well, like you said, for daily use, nothing beats range and of course, torque!

This damn machine save a lot for the long term calculation, our local kancir/kelisa/kenari going to close shop liow at soon.

yes we are hahaha... i have a captiva 2.0 diesel at home.. last year i drove it to hatyai from subang jaya, for a family vacation. All it take was slightly above 3/4 tank to reach bukit kayu hitam border... I had to fill diesel there, cos the price in thailand is expensive.. Im pretty sure if I were to push inward with what's left in the tank, it'll reach hatyai which is another half an hour away from the border, without a cough. considering i was averaging 140km/h all the way.

The range may show 700km for a full tank. But it keeps on recalibrating itself while driving..

Goodness, all the way to BKH???

The last time I went north to Penang/Alor Setar, I had to refill before I even reached Ipoh! Then again, I was pretty much driving above 150 most of the time. :p

But honestly, good mileage from the diesels!

Hybrids? Pah!

Hybrids are for dumbs i guess.. if a hybrid were to drive as fast as I did, its fuel consumption would be just like any other petrol driven cars.. With new diesel technology, it's even better compared to hybrids in urban areas

Hi Iylia, you changed your pic to a guy's pic, your new boyfren kah? Anyways, yeah, hybrids were designed to save fuel, if you want both fuel savings and performance, diesel is the way to go. Even the CRX is a failure as a sports car.....look at all the reviews.

I thought all this while Iylia's a dude? :p

Hehe...

Hopefully once I'm bored with my E32, I'll go for a diesel next... :top:

Haiyo, why cry. They still performed valiantly. I used to be an avid supporter of Thailand, but after Peter Withe left, the team sorta floundered. Haha. but still, I never made a fuss when they lost the SEA/Tiger Cup games to our national team...

Ah well, long gone are the days of having superstars like Kiatisuk Senamuang & Worawut Srimaka...
