I no technical person. Suggest you refer to the owner manual for accurate info. I don't want to take the blame if later your tyre explode. To achieve maximum speed, you need good tyre with correct pressure, cool ambience temperature and less wind drag. Best to do in early morning when temperature is cool and open road with no traffic. But look out for unwanted animals that may be wondering on our roads including Plus circuit during early morning.

Oh good tip. Splee....what was your maximum speed under your stated conditions?

Cant seem to locate the section which state the setting/conditions for maximum speed runs in my manual though....But it states "Obey your local and state maximum speed limits." and "Excessive speed, underinflation, or excessive loading, either separately or in combination, can cause heat buildup and possible tire failure."

Just accept what BMW states ...

Tyre speed rating is more important. To be safe ensure u r using at least a Y or W rated tyre which can handle 328i top speed. For tyre pressure settings, BMW's recommended setting is already good enough. I run my tyres a few psi lower for comfort reasons and still can do 90 minutes of fun high speed runs.
