While driving on the road the last couple of weeks, I was treated to a few rare sights - 2002s roaming the streets. It has such style and commands head turns. Here's a royal salute to those who has one sitting in their garage or house. Definitely something to be proud off. Those who are driving 2002s, please share your experience and also tell us some exciting stories of how you acquire this legendary machine and maintainence costs.

i've got the same pic of it on a track here in brisbane..nice fast worked 02!!
you should get one as a hobby here in aust DD!!
they're pretty damn cheap to buy..one going on ebay now..just needs a gearbox & some work & it'll be a stunner to drive..
when i had mine, i always was stared at by cars & pedestrians wondering what the hell it is or just the sheer beauty of it..it does have road presence!
what it drives like - a Mini Cooper S without the supercharger rumble! :yes!:

Yeah. You're right Fuhrer. It's pretty darn cheap here. But I'm afraid I may not have the time to do lots to the car. I still consider it as an enthuasiast car. While everybody may admire it but not everybody has what it takes to own it. Am I right or am I right? :D

i had it for just under 3 years & it has been trouble free motoring for me all the while man. compared to my POS of an e36 325i..i'd opt for my 02 anyday. the m10 is damn reliable!
it never died on me once nor did i have to ever tow it! hehe
if you dont want to to all the work, then you could always opt for one that's all done up already & all you need to do is do waht you do best - waxing & fuelling it! keke can be had for under 15k i reckon.
that's what i'd like to have in the future.. i cant comprehend how much it cost here to get it restored. paint jobs/body work alone over here can cost you a low cost appt in m'sia!

Oh...This lovely 2002. I love the very much and i missed it now. My dad used to drive me around in the car when I was small. I remembered I was hiding under the dashboard because he drove it crazily fast... and my mom didnt stop hiting him.

Didnt get to see this car around....

there are a few around that's been restored but they dont come on the market often, usually sold within the club or community.
my uncle had one back in m'sia, think it was 74 2002tii that he had to sell & got about just under 50k abt 10 yrs ago if im not mistaken.

come come, we get one n adopt it as club restoration project ... if we eva get bumped into one on sale in the 1st place. :D :)

Let's not suggest something that will never work! Can't even get along in a forum, now wanna start a car project? Can you imagine the 'flying daggers' and bad 'blood' flowing? It would be easier asking Samy Vellu for a 'toll' project!

Come to think of it....nak jumpa TT pun KANTOI.....nak kongsi keleta? :getyourfactsright:  :getyourfactsright: :beaten:

:getyourfactsright: can only be done just for show when club is filty rich and it was done by MSVCR those days in SG and they keep fire engines restored just like keeping in the museam out for show.

lyin around coupla blocks away fr my hse. all attempts to trace the driver fr door to door method failed. if anyone rajin go do a jpj trace la. but its gettin rusty n kevs told me its a cancer, no cure, thus no point restorin it.

yes kevs, i share yer sentiments on dat, but dats another story .. let it b, let it b .... but somebody gotta initiatie it the very least! im really keen on dis project. :)
