1st Party Insurance for E34

Hello All, My Insurance is up for renewal, however the company which does the coverage has just advised me 'we can now only do 3rd party' Reason = 91 model.Anyone else having the same issue ? If you still have 1st party, recommendation for insurance companies welcomed.SighDom :wink:

Hi,

Just help a friend to renew his 2nd car insurance few days ago.... same problem here only managed to get a 3rd party, fire and theft insurance (really dono how to classify this type of insurance)... reason quoted by insurer is: change of insurer policy for cars more then 10yrs old. May b that's the reason Y u cant get the 1st party coverage for your car.

Thanks Creazee....this jokers make changes to their policy ever so often and inconvenience customers who've been 'loyal' to them for years.

Dom, what insurance are you now on? I'm due for renewal of my e34 '91 next month, using etika takaful 1st party now. Hopefully can continue 1st party , do update us on your insurance renewal bro.

Try Oriental Capital bro.Renewed my e34 94 1st party with them recently because Berjaya Sompo declined my renewal(was insured by them for the last 3 yrs till this year).

Bro how about checking with BMW insurance Alliance. I did mine with them but my car is 9 years old. Not sure how would they handle yours. Let me know if you want the contact. Cheers!

Hi there, i also just renewed my e34 insurance, using third party.. they said no 1st part for cars more then 20 years old, i already asked etiqa, lonpac, takaful, sad huhu

MSIG still offers me the full comprehensive insurance, they have told me its because I'm an existing customer. If I was new, their policy would not allow a 1991 reg vehicle anything other than 3rd party only. But, worth asking I guess.

Your a lucky man... i didn't renew my insurance for 3 week because searching for 1st party insurance, and finally i give up and go for 3rd

Hello All, sorry for the late update on this topic, been traveling. I finally got my insurance yesterday and R/Tax today. 1st party coverage from AXXA Insurance. Thanks to Brother Seech for the reference.
