perhaps can find along Jalan Chow Kit ..... certainly not in this forum.

hahaha.. There are BMWs with 1J in the forum... Search and u shall find them...

why putting a japanese heart into a german body??? doesn't make sense...

by having turbo charge feeling for speeding drive , some ppl will choose to having custom bolt on turbo kit into their car , as i know , there is very costly when u bolt on supercharge or turbocharge into BMW engine , so there is ppl just do the engine transplant the by just Rm 6k to 8 K to have turbo .

this forum belongs to BMW Club Malaysia, a club registered under the Registrar of Societies. we are not one of the free-for-all internet forums for car enthusiasts - please go there, i am sure they will appreciate you.

BMW Club Malaysia is also sanctioned by the BMW International Council - so please, do not disrespect our patron in Germany as well as all the paying members of this Club.

kindly take your discussions on non-BMW engine transplants elsewhere.

Bro 325tt, I do respect your query and personally think it is a fair one. Your money. Your choice.

However on this forum, majority of the Official Members do not subscribe to the notion of Jap engine into a German marque. As you have been advised, there r many threads that talk about such conversions and reviews thereof. These can be found on this forum and the web. Personally. I have no problem with this, but others may, being loyalist to the UDM. This is afterall BMWCM, in every sense of the word.

Pls do enjoy your stay here and ask that you do your search and contact the respective individuals who own transplanted 1/2 jz or rb20 privately for further info.

Thanks for accomodating bro!

I think you should be aware by now, from the responses that you have received, that the idea of combining Jap & German makes aren't very welcomed by all here.

Pls be wise, respect the forum and club requirements, and its paying members responses.
I'm sure your discussion will be very responsive in other forums, like 0-100 or autoworld or lowyat.net.

The rest is up to your own understanding and maturity.

Aside to the rest, i think this chap just wants to tickle the heck out of some.
You know what to do lah.

Some who have done a jap engine conversion didn't like the soul-less characteristic of the engines. Yes, u get the kiss in the ass feel but not the aural experience and the smooth torque delivery feel u get with a BMW engine... each to their own...

how about if i put a bmw engine in a non bmw body. still can discuss or have to masuk longkang?? hehehe....very strict la forum now. :p

Bro GheeBaron....don't be like that.....when we gonna kena some cold ones??? Your Prez is in town next week....mali mali...we TCSS there la...no forum rules apply.....

So by reading Mizhan's and ssman post is it fair to say that if 325tt wants to become an official member he is not welcomed and his application would automatically be rejected? Are we to ridicule and persecute people because they can't afford to force induct a BMW engine? We have to remember that the cost of FI on a BMW engine can be astronomically high it is out of reach of most BMW's enthuthiast therefore the alternative solution would be a Japanese turbo engine which would be more affordable. Would that make him a lesser bmw enthuthiast than any of us?

I think it's harsh and unfair. Just because the engine is not a BMW doesn't mean it's any lesser of a BMW. It's still has the same bavarian steel, chassis, interior and etc ... When is a BMW is NOT a BMW??? Would putting a non-german brand rims on a BMW can be considered as blasphemous too?

The engine doesn't make the car rather it's the overall package, the design of the car, handling performance, the build quality and other factors that draws people to BMW not just the engine. Tho i may not be an OM (not yet anyways) but i love this forum because it give's other BMW owners avenues to discuss and exchange ideas and as such i just need to speak out.

I'm sorry if i have offended anyone but i just need to let it out of my chest ...

Bro Bm33mer, no worries. Your comments are justified. I said that I for one have no issue with such conversions. Who knows one day I may end up this route too. But what I did say is to respect Members who have requested the discussion to be taken offline. They have a valid point too.

As for membership, that decision resides with the Committee. I personally don't see a reason why it should be rejected on such grounds. We have members who run jap engines in their rides. What you don't see them do is publicise it largely due to respect or maybe even to hide their beast onli to be unleashed when required.

So point noted and clarified, I trust. Peace, after all it is Valentines Day.

B33mEr,

Well you can certainly interprete Mizhan's and Ssman posts NOT WELCOMING 325tt if he were to apply for official membership. I will be the first one to object with our Managing Committee. It will not only be applicable to 325tt's but to include the rest of would be Jap turbo engine into a BMW chasis applications. Why bother and come into our house and try to contaminate. They may as well start another blog/site on their own.

BTW, notice you are a Clug guest since 2008 with 1,936 posts. Wonder what's holding back your application for OM??
