Frankly, I think their opinion is based on what they think is the rarer or more desirable car. I mean, why is there two station wagons on the list? Some time back, EVO magazine did a proper comparison test of all the ///M cars they could get their hands on and did a full test driving the cars hard and fast. The best ///M car they concluded? The original E30 M3 with its lightweight body, rack & pinion steering and brilliant handling made it the real symbol of what all ///M cars are all about.
..while i also disagree about this list, i must say that criteria cars are picked is not revealed, so its hard to say for sure..for instance, E30 is on list with just recent brand new model M550d Xdrive .. so if this latest model as well as F10 M5 are listed, in list of 'best of all time', then how possibly they could gain any reputation even close to E30, in terms of statement 'best of all time', when they just recently came out..i think this list as many similar is nothing but marketing hype...
all the newer robot built cars dont have this special bond between man and machine. only the handbuilt M's have german porn actors doubling as engineers. 2 weeks of sexy time to build my M

My ///M top 3 list will be this. 1. E26 M1 (Supercar categories, 456 units) 2. E9 3.0 CSL (Batmobile, LHD 765 units, RHD 500 units) 3. E30 M3 Sport Evo (E3, 600 units)
Correct, we have to start to learn LHD. Danke. Not chance for the ///M1... I'm sure is not as easy for me to start another E9 project...really need another big passion and "deep" love on this.
