Master Kev, I got no shame in doing that!!! and thanks to the sifus ( you included ) in advance..... :p I have to agree abt the longevity of the battery & weight distribution in that location....but then another potential source of rust & longer powerlines ( losses ). Just a thot.

sorry i'm quite new to this BMW world...therefore i got some questions

    what is MAF and Borlas?
and how much the immi AC rims cost you?

approximately how much would your E30 worth in Malaysia? compared to other standard E30 325i..

    thanks
    :)

MAF is the gadget for detecting how much air's going into the intake. more often seen on later models. it's a cylindrical unit just before the air filter/box

stock E30s comes with the AFM which has a highly annoying flap and the AFM isn't very reliable, and is something every owner wants to throw it down from the twin towers.

Borla? they're some american exhaust manufacturer. produces some rusty/metallic/loud note.. :)

my E30? hmm. it depends on the buyer and seller, they could strike a deal if the buyer's willing to pay a price for it and the if the seller's willing to part with it at that amount.

i bought mine for RM35,000 last 3yrs. never regretted. never looked back. :)

MAF - mass air flow meter(used on newer EFI systems)

AFM - air flow meter(used on older EFI systems)

    Tom,
Wah, quite nice man your car..
However, how come i never seen your car one at TT (old Subang jaya area).. it would be nice to see in person. Want to check out ur MAF, maybe can ask for ur opinion on the pros/cons of using this gadget. Where r u located btw ?

Me, i am drving an E30 2-door just like u, so maybe can tukar2 ideas.

    Cheers

    naipaul,
thanks for the compliments... never thought of comparing an E30 with an AE86... hmmm but thanks

Kinaka: no problem, anytime, hope i've contributed to your future plans on your car. don't worry, i've not done much so....

naharmas, thanks i'll try to make it to more TTs and HHs in future, :)

    i'm located in KL :)

The pros are smoother revs, better power, more free revving, no AFM flap bog down, idle problems, etc
the cons of this gadget would come in if it isnt tuned or wired right. plus, it would be better to wire in a temp sensor.

but this is something without regrets.

tyke - I met you together with Pippa (correct spelling?) bro, when we were all baking under the sun. Got 'default' visa - other half had to work.

Tom - good on you moving here, since your work brings you up here most of the time. Look forward to meeting up again.
