    Guys, guys,

thanks for the concern about my handling, very wise counsel...

    my handling upgraded already...

    1. bilstein shocks
    2. eibach springs
    3. eibach antiroll bar, front and rear
    4. conti sports contact II tyres
    ...........

zzzzat's why power feels insufficient by comparison.... sticks like glue around corners!!! :yahoo:

but, but, any further handling upgrade advice would certainly be most welcome!....

    :p

but, please be gentle.... am very fond of my house and my golf clubs....

    :( :( :(

    Further suspension upgrades:
    1. M3 offset lower control arm bushes.
    2. Adjustable camber plates.
    3. X-brace
    4. Strut bar front and rear.

Let me know if you need any (or all) of the above...

The engine pic could be a US E35 M3 Evo 3.2L engine, which is different from the Euro engine in that it didn't have individual throttle bodies.

Lee, i looked at all the options to derestrict my 328 and the one that i decided on was the conversion from this guy in the uk. He uses the 325 intake manifold and rebores the standard TB by 3mm bigger and replaces the butterfly valve with one that is 3mm bigger too.

Lots of guys there have done it and they say gains of around 20bhp are common and now my car pulls all the way to the red line.

Only cost me 3k. But i think you could get one done here for way cheaper. only costs RM450 for the 325 intake manifold and i think the modified brackets can be done here for less than 50 bucks.

    pm me for the website.

    also try getting a remap.

    cheers,
    Slide.

My M52 engine is already using the M50 intake manifold and TB. I however doubt you could bore the TB by another 3mm. At most is about 2mm. If you bore it by 3mm, the TB will be paper thin and may crack! Another thing is, if you are using a M50 intake manifold, it would be good to remap the ECU as well.

    The Slide has spoken.....

    ** hushed silence **

The One who's actually MODed his 328....., racun backed up by personal experience.....I was wondering when you'd pop up....

Thanks, Slide, for sharing your experience....

Where's a reliable place to get my car remapped? any idea how much$$$ ?

    Thank you once again...

    Flash,

u're welcome to try my ride anytime... what are fellow club members for otherwise??? but beware your wallet...

    535i,

how can the mud flaps be aerodynamic? I also have another friend who was kaw-kaw into performance-boosting mod.... changed his cams, foamed his chassis, fierce bodykit, new paintjob, and the finishing touch? mud flaps to protect his paint near the wheel arches....

you know where to put the mudflaps so that it does not interfere with aerodynamics? the boot...

Actually you maybe right al, i guess i should have just taken a measurement when i got my TB. but for what it's worth it looked bigger to me, and who knows what kind of stuff people are selling on the web. I will however say this, the IM was indeed a work of art, nicely executed and it was a plug and play kind of deal. Straight and easy fit like the dude said it would be.

But to see if it really works i would need someone to race against......

However just the other day, i made an Audi TT owner feel pretty bad. The dude could pull even with me all the way to 120, maybe getting a wee bit ahead by 140, but after that it was all over. All the way to 200 i pulled away pretty quick, it was like he was stuck at 180. Maybe the TT's are limited? Did this with him about 5-6 times on the way to Penang. Having said that, i suppose a 1.8 ( soft ?) turbo is not a fair match for a 328.

Lee, remap? I hear Superchips is pretty good, however i don't think there is much of a difference between any of the vendors. Some claim 2-3 bhp better than the others, but that's a difference i don't think anybody can feel.

Other mods, the one that i wish i had the balls to do, is weight loss. Drop all the carpeting, sound proofing, rear seats and ICE. Major improvement all round.

Next mod for me, just blew my exhaust, i think a SS is on the cards.

    Cheers
    Slide.

Great pointers from slide...we all knew it was only a matter of time before you appear....hahah. Lee, you should get your ride dyno'ed first. I posted my chart somewhere in this forum..If you still have your pod filter, dyno with and without also...
