Hi Brudders! Well, it's time for me to do a major suspension overhaul for my car and one thing that needs immediate addressing is my shocks and springs.I'm no fan of ultra lowered cars because I believe that the Ultimate Driving Machine should allow me to drive through the daily obstacles that I face like speed bumps and carpark ramps without having to worry about scraping my undercarriage everytime. I'm also a family man and I do carry 4 passengers with luggage often. Ultra lowered cars are not Ultmate Driving Machines to me, they are Ultimate Racing Machines. well that's just my opinion but I feel a car lowered by about 20mm will do me just nicely. My question is: What aftermarket combination of springs and shocks for the E34 will allow a ride height like that shown in the following 2 pictures. This is my current ride height which is caused by semi dead springs. I don't mind a firmer ride but I don't want to lower more than 20mm

Most of the major brands for springs lower the E34 by at least 30mm - Eibach, H & R, Apex, B & G etc. Maybe you can check out Terra?

Hmmm..... How about adding a 10mm spring pad to each spring? Would that help?

Hi Bazet, your ride looks higher than mine. Does she scrape bottom often in parking lot ramps and speed bumps?

Would adding a 10mm spring pad raise ride height or just make your springs stiffer? Anyone know?

    nope......

I have no problem with speed bump nor park ramp....

The only problem I've encauntered with my E34 was...rear wheel have no grip to climb a steep car park @ Putrajaya swimming pool
