Ya you're right about jap specs, they're actually better in terms of refinement and quality I noticed. The comfort package seats I have are softer compared to the jap specs, maybe becoz they're perforated nappa leather? Or maybe I'm just used to my previous ride(jap specs). But I do find the ventilated seats are very useful especially after parking under the sun for a long time. Wife loves it :) From what I read from other X forums, the most common problems are the creaking sounds during driving. So when you do a test drive, switch off the radio and aircon and try to listen for creaks. Mine was coming from the driver seat belt buckle brushing against the side leather seat. Found out the original rubber stick on for the buckle was missing(after looking at the passenger side), so manage to fix the problem after sticking a 3M rubber like tape on it. I read most X owners complaint the sound came from the door rubber seals, 'lubricating' them solves it.
