Good day fellow BMW enthusiasts, I am finally selling my 1998 BMW E39 528i reluctantly after so much time and money has been spent on making the car look and perform the current state it is at. I am now looking to get another sedan in Singapore for work purposes and thus do not have the required space for 2 sedans and a weekend sports car + my dad's and sister's car. I would love to drive the E39 in and out to Singapore but I am not allowed to do so as I am now a permanent resident in SG.I have full receipts of all mechanical work that has been done, which I will list down all the parts that has been replaced when i get the receipts at work. All mechanical work has been handled and taken care of by only one reputable workship in JB, almost all wear and tear parts has been replaced, including a top overhaul that has been done by the previous owner 2 years ago by the same workshop as well. No expenses has been spared and no short cuts has been taken on this car as it is daily driven. I have since added a few aesthetic modifications to fiercen the look of the E39 which I have admired over the E60 and to differentiate itself from other E39 owners, while leaving the engine stock standard, and replacing virtually all wear and tear parts emphasizing on reliability. New owner will be lucky to be owning this as he/she has nothing to spend on and will continue to enjoy the car for many years without forking out any more money on repairs other than regular oil servicing which I do at 5000km intervals. Road tax is valid till July 2012. For all E39 potential buyers, don't waste time on a 520i or a 523i just to save on road tax, i've driven all other models of the E39 except the 540i and the M5, and my first choice was a 528i, no regrets.Aesthetic Add-ons:Full M5 Bodykit (PU material not fibreglass)Quad ExhaustAC Schnitzer Front Bumper splittersAC Schnitzer Boot lip spoilerAC Schnitzer Roof/Rear Glass spoilerGloss Black Kidney grills (have original stock grills too for the buyer)19" Deep Dish Wheels (Front 8.5", Rear 9.5" - 235/35 and 265/30 tyres with 95% thread left)Eibach Pro-kit Lowered Springs (have original stock standard springs too for the buyer)DVD/GPS/CD/MP3/Ipod Connectivity/etc Player specifically suited for E39Carbon Fibre Dash trimsWhite LED Number plate lightsWhite LED Fog LightsAngel Eyes HeadlampTinted Windows. Here are some quick pictures taken with the phone:

Bro, Your car is really great. However, your car is a bit too pricey coz I just viewed the 528i (e39) Year 2001 asking for RM60,000 and it is negotiable. Yours is year 1998 wor. And on the other hand, how come your receipts are all from the same shop?? You only sent them to fix and change so many things recently???

Anyway, May I know what is your best price bro??

And is it possible to view it in KL???

Hello there, there are no 528i in 2001. The last would be early 2000. Get it checked.

Anyway sending to one shop has it advantages whereby they will know the history of the car, i.e what has and had not been changed previously.

Am selling mine too. But the market has been rather quiet frankly. Wonder why.... Anyway, good luck on your sale!

Hi there,

Do feel free to offer your price if you think it is pricey. Yes, you can get a 2000 model (theres no 2001 model 528i) elsewhere for perhaps well under RM60,000, but do understand that mine has a bunch of goodies (19" rims, Eibach Springs, Dvd/GPS player, M5 kit, AC Schnitzer parts) added onto it, and not forgetting the list of wear and tear parts that has been replaced. You basically just drive and go, not having to worry about repair bills, break downs, etc.

And of course all receipts are from the same shop, as I only trust one shop to handle the mechanical work for my car. Same goes to my dad's car and my previous car which are all handled under one workshop and including my dad's friends who drives continental cars. We have been patronizing the workshop for many years and top-class service and workmanship is what we always receive. Wonder why you asked that question, as I assume a potential buyer would find it more 'dodgy' if I had things replaced from different shops all the time ?

My approach of 'servicing and repairing' my cars is this - I don't stinge on spending money on cars. As long as there are signs of wear and tear on any parts, i dont wait till it breaks down, I change it well before anything bad can happen. So there are many items that actually doesn't require replacement, but I just instruct my mechanic to do it for peace of mind. I believe if you treat your car well, likewise it will do the same for you. Like i said, my emphasize for a daily driven car is reliability.

Feel free to ask any more questions.

try to sit in the cockpit.
the feel will tell u if its worth paying for it.
a well maintained car speaks for itself.

I have no doubt that unker's 528i is very well maintained. Believe the challenge is from potential buyers getting bank loan for this 14 years old car.

Agree with Herbert, maybe you should tear it down to stock condition and sell it at cheaper price. Sell your expensive accesories separately.

Otherwise you need to find another rich uncle to buy cash from you. Not many people are willing to folk out so much cash for an old car nowadays.
