WTB : Teflon Tape

Hi Ericer,

Did you get a lot of responses?
I'm expecting my car to become squeaky as well once it comes out of the paint shop.
The painter had to remove the Teflon tape to repaint the car.
Previous owner had complained about the noise and applied Teflon tape.

Hi PC,

Before the paint work the car was so quiet. There after u can hear rattle and squeaky sound despite applied the Teflon tape.Maybe have to apply some grease on it, ie carbarflo or gummi .....or change the seal .Any thinker ?

Just joined this forum and came across this thread.

So happen my company specializes in Teflon tapes but I m not sure which ones are you guys looking for. Perhaps if you can send me a picture or the application purpose of the tape I can ask the technical guys in the office if we do supply.

I bought one from forum member at the cost of RM200 for my wife 1 series. I have yet to apply it as somehow the squeaking sound like disappear. When my E39 came out from complete paint job, the squeaking is unbearable. Instead of testing out with the RM200 tape, I experiment using the RM1.70 tape bought from Tesco. It does the job although it may not look nice as you can see tape transparent white in colour. But then you close the door most of the time
