i appreciate your comments. But that is how you like your BMW's to be, and i have my take about how I want my BMW's to be too. My E39 and family's E60 are for comfort use, and are stock. The reason for my purchase of a E36 coupe with a 2jz gte-vvti was to have a fun and reliable car anytime of the day on a budget. You're suggesting me a E36 M3 (Rm80k to 100k mark) and a E46 m3 (RM150k mark) in which power and torque doesn't come close to what a 2jz gte engine is capable of. And thank you for suggesting me a 335i and a F30, like i wouldn't know it would be better ? You're comparing an almost 20 year old car which is what I am looking to get versus a newly-released ? Common sense would tell you that a newer coupe would be better mate. Also, looking at your past transplants on those cars, it is no wonder why you are dissatisfied with them. Doing a engine transplant takes more than just picking an engine that you "think" is suitable and dropping it into a car and then expect it to drive like "stock" There are so many factors to account for. Weight distribution of car, kerb weight of car, power to weight ratio, etc. And also, to answer your last part of your reply, yes i do have a real toyota that makes 560hp at the wheels. And you would probably already know what car it is. I understand where you're coming from being a BMW enthusiasts. Mind you, i am one myself, but this is a side project where fun, thrill, reliability, becomes a package.
