WTB 1 Series. Any Comments?

I am looking into (maybe) getting a 1 Series. Any comments on the car? Looking at 118iA or 120iA, new or used. Any idea what the current market price is? Thanks.

go for 118i same enginebut detuned. ab has plenty and they r selling prereg car for 180k plus. avoid the first batch of 120i. alot of problems. 04.model.i personally love the one after driving my freinds 118i. very stable on highway. better than e46 too. true drivers car. my two cents

Oh no, i just booked the 120i (2004 model). What kinda problems am I lookin' at?

As much of a BMW fan as I am, with the Golf GTi priced at RM200k, forget the 1 Series! Come to think of it, forget the Mini Cooper S too....

I agree.. I fall in love with Golfs after driving the VR6....BUT... I am dreaming to get a used 118i for around 130k.

yo, should go for the newer 118 or 120 with 3 doors ! looks nicer and newer engines too with direct injection+vanos..but no more valvetronic though.

i contemplated to buy the 118 in '05 but instead went ahead with A-170 since the 1-series interior plastic quality sucks !! but the newer facelifted should be better as claimed ?
