It seems to work for me so far as I've never had a single (touchwood) roadside breakdown yet from any of my E46 318i, E46 325i, E36 318i & E32 740i. And all of these old rides are still running strong and relatively smooth as of today. Heck, even the newly acquired 2 month old Gold TSi that I got for my missus is being parked 95% of the time because she still prefers to drive the old E46 318i. The point I want to make is that we shouldn't skimp on 'real' maintenance when it is due.</blockquote>
