well diesel prices invariably is going up with the new introduction of the euro 2 in malaysia. hey and cost of running is not an issue here with the cars. first the 530d has an ugly exhaust pipes but has wider tyres. Engines wise. Hearing a 3 liter diesel car purring vs a straight six petrol 3 liter. Anytime 530i. Ckd vs Cbu. Anytime cbu. y?? cause the fittings are much tighter and has so far no problems. Also take note the local models and most of the cbu 530i models plus 530d models do not have dynamic drive. There has been an issue made on this and hell yeah there is a difference but then again depends on the driver in the end. Only problem is one there only 15 cars in malaysia with the dynamic drive and the only 2004 models and 2005 models are with cartrade. Also this cars come with m suspensions plus the 245 tyres like the 530d. Also this cars were much more thoroughly inspected compared to the normal 530i and till to date has never had a single problem. And if they were to import this model brand new right now would cost more than the standard 530i due to the different chasis requirement of having the dynamic drive plus the m suspensions it is fitted with. Downside would be that this models are fitted with the more rougher hard seats which are semi automatic. For me i prefer this rather than the comfort seats. Y cause i have no back problems and actually feel more comfortable when driving. Also the road tax implication is very high for a diesel model. Also please take note there is like 4 or 5 used 530d sitting at autobavaria sungai besi branch. What does that tell u of demand.
