I have a 520i 12V and the engine has covered 400k+ kilometers on it and is going great. The car gone through one highway run without water for 10 mins at high speed before i notice massive smoke trailing at the back and had been running for years on a stuffed thermostat that only opens a quarter and only about 2 years back, the gasket finally gave way and it received a top overhaul. The m20b20 engine is extremely strong. It has gone down to johor twice this week with an average speed of 140 -160 and occasionally hitting top speed when the road is clear.</blockquote>
