Dear all sifu, today my E39 suddenly pop up "check brake lining" What the problem of this? still save to drive?

change brake pads and brake sensor lah...simples.

Not even a problem, its wear and tear.

I just change it few month ago, it is normal for ori pad or sensor last only approx 8000kms?

should not be...it should last much longer than that.

In that case, it might be a problem..hehe

But its only related to the pads and sensor anyway, get it checked. Did you change front and back last time?

yap! i change both pad and the disc front and rear include sensor

if i still fill the braking power is as usual it is mean the car still good to drive?

I have this problem in my ex e36 before. The problem is the cluster meter error. Meaning if i want to fix it need to change the meter.

bro....my guess...improper installation of the brake wear sensor.me guessing the sensor wire is not routed properly and is chafing perhaps against the brake disc.......

Last time it cost RM300 but i never change it.

E39 meter cluster is around RM800 from chop shops, but please check the brake sensor first bro.

just share, yesterday before plan to send my car to workshop, i wash my car 1st, and than mid way drop by my friend tayar shop and talk about this problem, he used air pistol to clean here and there, it work!!! everything back to normal, today start it few times, all good!

U are lucky, meaning is the dirt cause the problem.
