It's been too many problems associated with the new f30, namely rusted seat, wind noise etc...most of it were proven and like most of the bros here, still we are proud to have this "babe" in our car porch,...the question is why?Let me start the first to answer,...dun know why but kinda give me a smile every time I see "her" in the morning,...:top:Any other thought?

Class leading performance. The 328 is clearly superior compared to the A4 and the C250.

It's been a joy to have and to own.. never cease to excite & deliver sheer pleasure whenever we indulge is some weekend action.. :burnout:

Rust la, ASS jerky la, steering rack la, etc etc.

The moment you press the pedal, nothing comes close. Not even the Audi.

BMW has got a winner with the F30.

Started from a 'WOW' when i pressed the pedal during a test drive and the rest is history..

Yeh buddyyyyy..... I have hit 240-260 many many times now...and i know how you feel...

Although the Audi A6 Hybrid would be value for money, overall I still think that owning a 328i is no regret.
The car has a smart and young look, and never fail to attract people who wanna race me, despite I don't race or accelerate.
The power is really impressive and I was very impressed by its g-force feel, much better than the A4 and the c250.
Finally, I love my media center, something that 320, 323 and 325 lacks. Its amazing that I can watch movies full HD screen and access to all the network channels in the world in my car. Its a pity that the locally assembled model didn't come with Bose or Nakamichi speakers, but it is still alright.

How you watch HD movie in your car? Using DVD or streaming through smartphone. Can we watch YouTube? And how to watch world network channels on iDrive?

In order to watch HD movies, the source of your content must be HD. Currently I am using the DVD to watch the content. I would normally put on MTVs while driving, but if my little one is in the car, I will just put a cartoon or something for him.
Alternately, you can buy an optional BMW double screen to be placed behind the front seats which is hooked to the iDrive.
To be able to watch multimedia/ streaming content, I believe you have to attach your iPhone to the optional Snap-in-Adapter. There are 3 versions that look alike, so you need to get the "Media" version, which is the most expensive one. (I didn't buy one yet, but I was told.)
To be able to connect streaming contents and listen to the global network channels in Asia, North America, South America, Europe, Middle East, Australia and even Africa, you need to download various apps from the AppStore. The application must have 3G connection and attached to your car with a good signal. A stronger signal is received if you use the Snap-in-Adaptor (any version) because it is directly using the vehicle's built-in antenna.
If you have a AppStore Account registered in US/Europe, you will be able to access many cool free/paid apps for your BMW F10s/F30s only.
That's all I know so far, and still exploring. Hope this helps.

Thank you bro for the very informative write up. Seems like I have not fully utilise the iDrive full capability. I am still waiting for the iPhone 5 snap in adaptor from BMW. Hopefully it will be out soon. I suppose you will need to recode the iDrive to watch movie on the move?

No problem. Here's what the forum is for.
I have still be contemplating to buy the snap-in-adapter because its so pricey in Malaysia. If I bought it, I would probably prefer to buy it from Amazon for a fraction of the price. eg. USD 118 only.
Yes, you will need to do some coding and installation of the some codec on the iDrive. If you are skillful enough you can attach a WD drive or a Pen Drive with the required files to the USB port, located inside the glove compartment. There is a world of things that can be activated and upgraded as you explore.

I understand that the 6.5" iDrive system is pretty basic, with no built-in satellite navigation and DVD, but it does support connectivity via USB, Bluetooth, and Aux-In. If you want to watch HD movies, you will need to invest approx. RM 7k for an advanced hardware.

definitely the driving dynamics.... thats the best part of it...thats why some of us like to have breakfast at Gohtong Jaya :)
