starting this thread to give everyone a heads-up and share some experiences.here's mine- car (e46) sudden cutoff and died in the middle of road. called my mech and he said maybe fuel pump and need to be towed. restart and was rolling again but hesitantly. after a few start/stops made it back home 1km away. Towed it next day on a flatbed(thank god) and diagnosis was a faulty crank sensor (RM310). had to leave it overnight as the mechs had to remove the manifold to get to this sensor.damage was RM530 incl towing(120)the thing is , there was no warning and quite abrupt.. I was in the middle of a conversation with GF and suddenly kaput...then only the DSC light and warning lights came on!..My ex-10 year old saga also never breakdown before...sigh:(
