Yesterday my windscreen washer tank lights up, so as usual I just refill it but the light comes up again after 6 hours later. Hmmm I suspect either the tank or the rubber hose has a leakage. Then I called a few workshop and was quoted from RM300 - RM400 to have the washer pump replaced excluding labour. The washer pump is working fine and the washer tank has no leakage neither does the rubber hose is faulty but the workshop insist on replacing the whole unit.So the only problem must be the rubber seal between the pump and the tank which looks worn. So I went internet shopping and found the spare part called 'washer pump grommet'. I manage to source it out locally and DIY today.http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/4386/016qg.jpg1. hehe...i also kena already.

Mine not only the pump kaput, the washer also spoil already. Go to workshop, they quote rm 350 for recond pump !

Tak boleh jadi macam ini...

so i gatal2 go to bavarian auto ask for the washer pump.... the brand new Germany pump only cost rm30, and the rubber washer rm6.

so just put out the spoil pump, replace with new pump and rubber washer... tada.... siap ! few minutes sajaaa... and i save rm 314 plus brand new. NOT recond !.

DIY is good these days.. when everything is expensive..it's becoming like europe or us..

Wahhh...got this thing also ahh...hav to check mine..anyway ...congrats on the DIY

Had a leaking problem some time back, change the grommet/filter and it did not resolve the problem.

Finally located the source to be that of the water pump. It was working fine but there was a leak sprouting from it. Replaced it with OEM pump at RM90/-.
