(The other writer is a known champion race driver in the local circuit). We did hear about the handling gripes of some other journalists at the time, but what was interesting was that when we first collected the car, the tyre pressures were found to be at a crazy 19psi front and 40psi rear! To be fair, we did not collect the car direct from Volvo, but from a trade publication. Though the car we tested had the standard suspension, there is a sports pack available as an option, which should be better suited to enthusiastic drivers. I was not paid by Volvo or the mag for my article. Though I have had my share of bad experiences with the local Volvo service centres, I stand by my findings. The V50 is really a surprising package that warrants a second look.</blockquote>
