[QUOTE="Cobra Kai, post: 12144, member: 5936"] I managed to get my hands on the new 2008 Navigation DVD today (currently retailing at RM 2000++) and thought I'd record my initial thoughts. The new DVD plugged straight in, with no firmware incompatibility issues. Once I put the DVD in, the system immediately picked up that there was a new version and advised that the car needed to be turned off for 5 minutes.Once the system had reset itself there were no issues using the new version. All my saved addresses were still available.I have not had much of a chance to play around with the detailed maps, but I have noticed the following:- Coverage for Malaysia includes an expanded range in Klang Valley & JB, and Melaka / Penang being included in the new version. This comment is based on a comparison of the country maps on the back cover the 07-1 and 08-1 DVD's.- The Information classifications have been tidied up, e.g. mosques / temples / churches are now classified under Community Centres rather than Places of Interest. There are also some new classifications, e.g. Business Addresses. However, the Business Address classification only has 6-7 entries, e.g. Menara Citibank. Two of the locations were for DaimlerChrysler, so not sure if someone at the GPS vendor was taking the piss - The "Junction" feature now works in the 08 version.
