I got my BMW Performance Air Intake done today. Firstly, I love the look of the carbon fibre "BMW Performance" inscribed cover. It's rights in front of the engine cover and adds a lot of appeal to the engine bay look, priceless! I can certainly feel the extra 3 bhp and better torque from the mid-range. Funj is right, the engine revs a bit more freely now. It's like the better feel you get when driving in cooler night temperatures even though it's a hot day. It was 33.5 celcius today. I can't wait to see if there is even more improvement in the night. The aural sensation is the most pleasing though. I have often complained the N52 can sound too refined and quiet compared to the my ex-M54. That has changed and I find the lower sportier rumble very pleasing. It means business a bit more. I can't seem to notice the rasp that Funj talked about in the higher revs though. Yet again, didn't push too much on very busy roads today. But in the mid-range I found new purpose in driving with my windows down, hahaha! I have been doing research on other BMW Performance parts and tried racun-ing Funj to get the performance sports exhaust. This one is supposed to be even more pleasing aurally with even better power gains. Let's do it.... BTW, Eddie of Stuttgart brought in 4 units of the Performance Air Intake and I was just told all snapped up within days. There is even now a waiting list. So, for those interested, I think another group buy is in order. It's worth every sen! Ohhh... all 4 units snapped up by forummers. There are a few on waiting list, also forumers, ahhahahaha... word has gone out!
