The reason many of us choose BMW over hard core Jap performance cars is due to the balance of sport and luxury/comfort. So tyres also like that, a really hard, harsh and noisy tyre feels significantly different from a supple, comfortable tyre which glides queitly and soaks up bumps like cushion while offering you glue like grip when you decide you want to have some fun! PS2s make a huge difference to the overall enjoyment of the car in my case. For me I don't clock up a lot of mileage yearly so, its worth the premium to enjoy the car for a couple of years with the PS2. If i run through tyres fast, then its not viable unless $$$ fall down from the sky each time I need new rubber lol.
