What a day! What an event! What a way to enjoy your car! Many thanks to the organisers for this great track day. A special thank you to the instructors for the invaluable coaching. It was great seeing so many car-mad people at the track. The cars ran the gamut from the latest Lotus, RX8, Hondas, all the way to a vintage Lotus (dunno what model) 2-seater open top. And our club was well-represented with a wide range of udms in various shape and condition.Even the initial shower did not dampen the occassion. Although it wet the tracks and made it slippery, this only added to the fun! (Except for some rain-shy cats who did not want to drive in the rain... :)After that the sun came out. So we had both wet and dry tracks in a single track day - what a bargain!Zoggee, many thanks for your helmet. It made it possible for my brother to experience his first track day. Appreciate it. And following your yellow fellow was interesting, esp watching it twitch the tail a few times on the slippery rainy track.XXX, many thanks for showing me the lines, and the braking points. You made me look good... a useful second course building upon Kevster's intro in my first track day last time.Al, your ride looks sexy and fast standing still. And you need to supercharge the engine, or it will continue to stand still... just kidding!Felix was leading the pack in the final run when he decided to test our braking abilities after turn 11. He parked his car in the middle of the track, and proceeded to flap his arm wildly. Dude, I thought you were trying to fly!Adliz, impressive ride and impressive speed there, keeping our udm flag up amongst the Evos and RX8s.I think the mini has an unfair advantage. The supercharged go-kart defies the law of physics - it can take any line! Alvin, not that I did not want to follow - cannot follow! And I experienced something called fuel starvation. In trying to keep the weight low, I pumped 1/3 tank only. By the time it was less than 1/4 full, I would lose power after sharp corners. Lesson learnt for the next track day.Speaking of weight reduction, Al has his own unique approach - take a poop just before going on track! All in all, tremendous fun. I gained a newfound respect for my udm. I did not have to prepare it at all this time, other than a new set of brake pads and a tank of gas. Also great to meet all the members as well. The experience of my car's handling on the limit, on both wet and dry tracks, was invaluable in understanding my chassis, alignment, and suspension setup. To top it all off, my car feels lighter and tires feel smoother and more quiet.Mastercard moment : cost of trackday - RM280. The fun and experience above - priceless.Lastly, can't wait for the photos! Come on guys and gals. I know you've taken some great shots. Especially Zoggee, w all his brokeback mountain camera angles. Ahlian, Tom, can't wait for your shots too. Post 'em here!

overall a great day. but race control were bad. there were cars going in all group in any session. overtaking anywhere they like too. i hope HPC can improve on that.

hoep the feedback helps.

Free flow nescafe - good

Lunch - better than 1st event.

Drivers Briefing - good, but no one listening.

Track time - excellent, ample track time.

Race control - not working. boo! 1st event was a lot better, although a lot more cars. Sack the ppl who in control tower!

Race control was working overtime identifying all the naughty boys and girls on track. Unfortunate, it's up to self control by the drivers to keep things calm. Many cars were called in for ignoring red flags and passing in the corners. only for them to repeat the offence later. This being a fun event, and not a race, it's a fine balancing act for the race control. You want to calm them down but you also don't want to spoil their day of fun and ban them unless they do someting really really stupid.

Still, I hope overall you still enjoyed your day. next time you come down to KL we go for bak kut teh, OK??? :D

great track day.. had fun!! plenty of track time.. plenty of nice cars, nice people, no unnecessary incidents.. i cudnt think of any reason why anyone wudnt have fun!! :D

on a side note, i think for next events, they should consider allowing the groups to mix.. shud and wud be good to practice track etiquette.. give way to faster cars, wave to pass, staying out of racing line, etc..? afterall, the instructors are riding with the newer drivers.. :)

adliz, agreed...eh how come never got to meet mah...only saw u on the track only...ingat dapat la taxi ride :D

Thanks to all for supporting the events. I'm glad that everyone had fun.
All your comments is appreciated. We need more feed back to make the next event even more fun.

Cheers!

Yes this was certainly a good event.
Would like to say thanks to HPC for hosting and organizing this event. I'm sure as they get more of these events things will run smoother.

The schedule was a little off but I'm sure this can be worked on.

Driving the E30 there was exciting. The car's brakes are certainly not up to par for such an track. And those of you that were on turn 9 during the open track session noticed me facing your cars  Really wished the brakes would not fade so quickly. During the open track session my threshold braking was maxed out and I had to continue trail braking. And on this turn it was too difficult which lead to my spin out. Saw Zoggee and the other guys pass me.

Redz4 & OSflanker

Thanks for your support & help throughout the event.
Glad that you manage to get some laps in. I also manage to get like 7 or 8 laps in the end.

Cheers!
