Okay ... just a little note to see who might be keen to participate in a track day outing at Sepang. Might you guys be keen, we mean seriously keen? If so just list down your names, so we can gauge the response and perhaps work towards an outing. Thanks!1. tIANcI

Bros, unless we get 50 cars it won't be viable to have our own track day. It would be easier to join a closed
Track day organised by some other car clubs or just join an open track day, like the one this Sunday.

That sinks the idea ... LOL! Oh well ... back to the drawing board. The other day I was at Sepang, there was a morning session with Lancers and Subarus, after that the track announced RM300 for 3 hours ... dang, I wish I had a helmet then!

That's pretty darn cheap!

I think open track day is more than that. Anyhow it's been awhile I went for an open track day. The last one was horrid, plenty of cars went off the track at corners like T1!! There is a M festival coming up next month. Get yourself invited, can drive the latest M cars in Sepang.

Al ... how much per drive? Heheheheee ... would love to see how the M car handles. So far the 911 has been most impressive.

Bundy, they should invite all current M owners also la, or at least have an allowance for those that want to come, there is a place for them if they sign up. no matter how oldie and moldie their M car is. hehehe.....M is still a M. maybe you can work your magic.... :D

or maybe the CM's can ask on behalf of the club. M owners who are OMs, get a chance to be invited. membership does have it's privileges. plus we can stick the BMWCM stickers on the cars tastefully, and hopefully get some free media attention and maybe new members. Maybe even show the club has a good spread of M cars, from my oldie moldy M5 to Zul's fantabulous M3 and M5. if this is not a golden opportunity, then i dont know what is.

all i want for christmas is a M-Fest invite, M-Fest invite, M-Fest invite, and I've been a good naughty boy the whole year through :D

p/s if need to show car grant, maybe Herbert can help collect. hehehe, just messing around Herbert :67:

SIC Open track days fees so expensive now????

It was RM130 for 3 hrs when I first caught the track bug... but that was back in 2004..

Fabian ... Their current rate is like 300 per session, each session is 1 hour. Hehehehe

SIC seem to be more interested in block bookings, less hassle and guaranteed income...
Track fees oso got different rates, depends on who u know.. ;)

Maybe for a start, organise go kart gatherings first... I learned a lot from go karting especially on taking racing lines.

Not all karts are equal, its really the luck of the draw..
but yes, I'd be down for a karting outing. I've tried a couple tracks around Klang Valley and the one in Langkawi, Sepang's is still the best. They use to have night discounts on Friday/Saturday and what not, but with the couple of management changes I'm not sure what's the deal now..

Roll call?

Me me, I'll sign up for a karting session or a track day session if the price is right :D

At the rate we are going the outing will be 8 am - 10 am karting ... Then after that track day. Kart to whet the appetite. Hehehe ...
