Hi allRecently saw these tyres at a dealer in Kajang. Do look pretty (to me at least) and the guy quoted RM510 apiece for 225/50/17. Has anyone useed them before and are these good for all season? Thanks.Faiz

I've used this Toyo Trampio when I was on my 16" wheel.

Grip is good ( since it's soft compound )....tested on the Sepang F1...not much squelling sound when attacking corners, but they do not lasts long...( soft compound )...

bro faiz ...you're from KAJANG ...? im from kajang ..

Anyway i'm using Trampio Guwn 225/45/17 for pass 2 yrs already.

As for the price wise ...anything in KAJANG is farking expensive ...

PM me if ya want to know the best price and location to get those tyre's..

:D :p

Me also using Toyo Trampio 205/40/17 its a good tyre for wet as well as dry conditions. Cost me abt RM410/piece yeah and they don't last due to soft compound.
I feel they do look goood too on the rims.Sporty look.

Ice, Nice to hear that you're from Kajang too...well you must remember we met at Sg besi toll with BMMad, Rezzy and two others i think (sorry don't remember the names). Thansk for the info on Toyo and price. You can say that again about Kajang (chap in Jln Reko started with 570 and 'came down' to 510!)

BMMad, nice to hear from you again pal.

Interesting that both of you are on Toyo's. As i said, they look good - used to have them on my fisrt car many moons ago - a daihatsu charade CBU and they served me well. So was wondering how they'd do on an UDM. Still have life on my Yoko ES100 after rotating them recently but time to look around.

On 235/45/27 front & rear now - thinking of 225/50/17 but i don't know if there will be an improvement in ride comfort and less tramlining (even after alignment not much improvement).

OK, cheers all.

Faiz

I have used the Toyo trampio guwn on my 18's ...

Very good grip in dry and fair in wet .
Quiet and comfortable ...
good value for money

but stay away from the vi-mode if u do a lot of hard driving ... the v-modes are good for comfort but not for tekan ...

cheers :D

Hi 328

Thanks for the comments, man. any price info and where? My beemer tends to follow every rut in the road and self-steer rather badly at times (called 'tramlining' I think). Went to check the front bushes, arms etc yetserday. The mechanic says try changing the tyres first since they are more than half worn. The centre arm that connects to the steering rods seems suspect.

so, any views on the problem?

:D hey faiz no probs ..

I believe the centre arm you are refering to is the tie rod end ??

I fthats the prob well its wiser to get it replaced . A worn tie rod ends will practically screw up the front alignment and ride ...

hope this helps

cheers
