Have you check both?!BMW uses a lot of plastic components in it's cooling system and vulnerable to leak due to breakage of these components. Make sure your premix 50/50 coolant with water for your top up because any such premix coolant leak will cause a white powdery trail, very easy to trace.Normally I wouldn't be too bothered about head gasket leak until it gets "serious".</blockquote>
