I've browse through all the consumable parts that have been posted and it seems that BMW need extra attention for its drivability. It doesnt make sense to me that such a reputable manufacturer is making a machine that comes with mountain high running cost. Maybe fellow beemers are taking maintenance into the serious side (sorry for the assumption). German and Japs cars should have the same practicality i reckon and as Syahril is to optimistic with reliability and robustness, that's why he jump for joy when he heard about so many  cost incured when owning one. By the way, Try Lexus IS with 6-pot engine. You will be amazed on how close it gets to the Bavarian creation</blockquote>
