Just bought 1 set of these in 245/40/18 size for rm480 a piece.German design but made in Thailand. The tyre shop owner recommended me this tyre over the Continentals that I asked for.
I must say the reviews (googled after purchase) on this tyre are surprisingly positive.Very quiet tyre which is instantly noticeable. It has only been 2 days so not much hi speed driving nor cornering attempted until they are broken in.Shop owner says this brand has been available for the past 3 years and has repeat customers asking for the same tyre after theirs has worn out.Wow.That good?We shall see......

Been using em Landsail LS588 UHP for the past year for my rear 255/35/18 on my e46. To my surprise, it does not dissapoint. No issues at speed, quite firm grip, but yet to really push at corners.

Now where is my review last year......

ah here it is...... http://www.bmwclubmalaysia.com/newforums/index.php?/topic/33992-database-for-tyres-price-iii/page-5

Review was for the initial 2k+ km......
"Initial impression for first 100km (had to drive back to KL on these new rubbers) tires were a bit slippery, maybe because it was new. But after an hour or so on the highway, can feel the tires wer gripping surprisingly good on the road, not that noisy too. Cornering was a lil bit cautious as it slipped a bit, maybe due to it being new (biasa la layan corner upon entering hiway hehehehe). It rained along the journey. Good grip in wet too, but was not pushing it past the speed limit.

Now the tires clocked up nearly 2k km (as now its more of a weekend ride). Had a run up Genting through Ulu Yam. Performed well overall. Good grip at speed on straights, but im a bit cautious when attacking corners as my butt sensors felt it did slipped a lil bit. Good even wear so far. In the wet, didn't push it but our normal evening shower is not a problem for it at 80-100km/h.

reviews fm other parts of the world http://www.tyrerevie...l/LS588-UHP.htm"

From my experience with so many different tyres, if you don't rempit, corner like a mad man or zig zagging, any tyres would work. Actually those cheap tyres available locally (various brands) are not too bad. Of course, some of them may get noisier as time goes by, easily swollen, poor thread life, worse braking distance, etc.

A racer once told me, if you're a normal driver, you really don't need the full features of those expensive tyres but being a consumer, we always want the best if we can afford. Haha. I always go for high end branded rubbers but these days, I don't mind trying cheap ones.

Where can I find landsail ls588? Would like to give it a try as my 245/40/18 are due soon. As dont see this brand around in kl but online reviews has been very good...

nilai got....sitiawan got....shah alam osso shud have....

well...after driving for 6 days...i must say the overall performance is good.but going at speeds > 180km/h the straight line tracking starts to disappoint and hi speed long sweeping curves is not confident inspiring as opposed to my previous Toyos CS1...which gives relaxed driving at 220km/h....
yup....we may be driving at those crazy speeds maybe 10% of the life of the tyre but then it is the times that we want that 10% and we cannot get it....so that is a disappointment....well....u get wat u pay for.....
