hmmm, this is the second question posted, first was seewai. now v-man.

wonder is the com is looking into it or very busy.

or

The club has a problem with Tom, our adminstrator.

let us know, it's been months.

Tom, our Admin has been informed and reminded to resolve this view count some weeks ago. Will send another reminder.

What was the explanation given? Surely we don't accept silence from our contractors.

hi Herbert and everyone,

Thanks for bringing this up, The issue was due to disability of the Scheduled Task Function.
It's a matter of turning it back on. This is not the first encounter. As for why and who disabled it remains a question.
I've taken a look at the admin accounts and have made necessary changes to its privileges.

Please hint us if you find thread views not updating itself.

Thanks
Tom

The post view count has now been set to update immediately. Though we're still unsure if this will tax the server during peak hours, but we'll see. Feedback welcomed

thanks

Thanks Tom. I'm sorry you're only now being highlighted this matter. Perhaps it will be helpful if only a handful of real experts be given access to 'advanced' settings. Most moderators need not dabble at such level of admin detail.

well, to be honest, herbert had already raised the issue a couple of times, which I assumed had been fixed as no one else was allowed in the admin. I assume it was previous admin(s) who still had access, who probably didn't know what button does what. As of now, i've verified there are no other admins allowed in the forum's critical control panel.

No problems with the post view count from now onwards :)
