To tell the truth, I'd rather pay at current diesel price with EURO IV standard due to the long term variable cost incurred maintaining the EURO IV standard diesel engine car. Although 500ppm sound better than 3000ppm, bare in mind that its only environmental friendly ( green engine anyway) rather than diesel engine maintenance friendly. But as far as the car is concern, I think, in Europe the e60 diesel cars are fitted with diesel filter unlike diesel's car here due to high sulphur contains which can cause blockage within the filter itself, well could cost us a bomb in a short period of time. If Malaysia were to introduce the EURO III or perhaps EURO IV, do we need to install these filter? Currently, I'm using petronas diesel since got advice from "C" (well known local car journalist) as compared to other brands. Tried with latest diesel from shell, doesnt make any diff in terms of savings....
