FORGE My wife's Merc E270 cdi 2004 model never had any problems. She insisted on sending her car only to Daimler Chrysler. On the other hand a colleague of mine who had a BMW 530 diesel develop problems. Expensive mah to repair for 1 year now and then at sunway mechanics. But his car became very reliable after sending his car to auto bavaria. Perhaps from what i learned is better to send these german cars to the genuine& trained service personnel at their fully equipped service centres than those ching cheong fun mechanics who pretend to be ex-mb or bmw mechanics. NKC8 Sulphur in diesel in euro III is much lower but primarily for environmental reasons. As an engineer myself, it is not so much the sulphur that wreak havoc on the car but rather the high humidity and impurities combination that can cause the need for regular maintenance. Do not skimp on unknown brand oils/fluids. Sometimes at the kiosk, you can notice some mud and dirt at the nozzle brim.
