[QUOTE="chrischy, post: 348971, member: 5"] Sayang la, I read the thread in UDMO and had a good laugh! But the thread was locked before I can say anything. Why is he bringing up all those past? Just because he wanted to be recognised as a"Founding Member"? What is his intention of doing that? To get recognition is just on the surface, what does he really want? A pat in shoulder, a well done greet, to get back at others, then I think that is not nice. If he wants to be remembered as the Founding member, can I claim to be the Founding Founder of the Founding Members? After all I was the earlier person who has contacted BMW Club International Council. What for? I am happy just to be able to contribute to a community who enjoys the same passion for BMW cars. What I get from it is the wonderful friendship and knowledge I gain from you guys. There are more new members who had contributed more than me now, in the BMW Club Malaysia. Why don't we recognise them too? If Chester wants the glory, then rightly it is the credit of a collective members who had made it a reality, it was never a 1 man effort. Give credit where credit is due, I will recognise Chester as the person who has contributed a forum platform to kick start this community, because BMW Club International Council had laid down certain conditions in order for them to grant us the official use of the BMW logo and to be recognised as the official BMW Club under their umbrella. So, initially we have to garner enough membership in order to convince BCIC that we have the members to form a club. Then only we can form legally a club under ROS. I was glad to be mentioned in the forum as one of the contributing member, but whether the club wants to recognise me as one of the founding member, it is entirely up to the club committee, but to be called a member, I am also happy. My philosophy in life is this, it doesn't matter what your title is, people will know who contributes what at the end. As for the 'siew pau' advertisement in the forum.
