Official custom duty/tax for the kit upon arrival in malaysia is 30+10% off the original price+shipping cost. the inofficial kopi money / under table rates vary around 5k to 8k depending on ya luck. you can lower the actual cost of the items shipped but no point, somehow the bastards in there already knows the price, no thanks to most of them having a Iphone with full internet access, i wonder where the iphone came from. anyway, if your items happens to be damaged on arrival and you have a lower than actual cost, you cant claim any insurance for it. for tuning, you will have to send the DMe back to them in norway for programing, from here to norway cost about rm700 and the way back will cost about rm1300. total cost would be Sc+tax + Dme shipping+ installation charges+ time to safe on the cost, order your sc kit in advance then go over to norway or anywhere in europe for a nice holiday, and hand carry back with you. make sure you bring along your dme for programing and bring it back the same time. when you reach here, the KLIA dudes are easier to dealt but its also depending on ya luck, if you have a VERY very sexy babe behind you then you might get off the hook sooner than expected. official tax charges ranges from the low few hundreds to 2k. for cheaper deals ask them how much a coffee table would cost?:listen: for installation, first read through the instruction YOURSELF, then make sure you go to a competent person for the install, as the kit is only as good as the installer doing it and make sure you have full supervision on them. a few workshop competent enough to install a TS kit would be Ultratune (glenmarie) and Top marques (subang ss13) who follows a very stringent factory specific processes on all their works. both workshops are best known for their exotic marques like porsche, ferrari, Lamborghini expertise. checkout http://www.ultratune.com.my/main.htm and you will know what i mean. installation charges vary from 2k to 3k. before installation commence, have them first run a diagnostic test on the car and clear all adaptation values. next do a full compression test, make sure the numbers are within spec and do a critical manual check on the MAF, and O2 sensors. if any of them is out of range, REPLACED them before installation. the MAF will benefit from a simple spray of CRC MAF cleaner. you would also want to do a full lubricant service, and a new air filter. after installation, do a proper break in of the SC. 1000km to 2000km applies. the software will work fine at the first crank, but it gets better and better over time with adaptations just like a fine glass of wine.
