hey guys, this wont be easy to solve because a friend of mine is facing this problem, not me (havent got a beemer yet!). he says that when he's going uphill and the revs are low, all of a sudden there will be be some sort of intermittent jerk as if there isnt any power which as quickly as it happens returns to normal...from my extremely limited knowledge, i asked if there was any shuddering as if the engine was going to die because maybe the revs are too low and he said there was nothing of the sort...after going to Andy of Heritage OKR, they replaced the ignition coil rubber, whatever that is, yet the problem persists but noticeably milder...any thoughts bros?sorry for being so vague, i didnt experience it first hand...

You mentioned going uphill @ low revs.

Gearbox is shifting down as it detects a lack in power to move the vehicle uphill and at that particular moment there's a void in power to the drivetrain thus your friend felt that jerk.

thats what i thought as well, so i told him the jerk could be from downshifting but he said the revs didnt increase after that...ill check whether there was any change in the revs DURING the jerk

hi, i used to own a 2003 E46 318i

intermittent jerk = i have experienced this before. happens when i press the gas pedal after going over a speed bump or uphill. my mechanic replaced the fuel pump or valves or something along those lines.

shuddering as if the engine was going to die = just a note, have also experienced this before. this is a sign that the camshaft sensor will soon fail. when it fails the engine will shut down and the car will not start.

don't know if they are related but in experiencing these 2 issues my gearbox began to have issues off and on. unable to engage the reverse gear, not in gear when accelerating off first thing when i start the car, etc.

bottom line, if you find that your gearbox is failing, it would be prudent to bite the bullet and to replace the entire gearbox with a new one if you plan to keep the car for sometime yet. i spent over RM15k fixing gearbox issues over the past 2-3 years and yet i still had issues off and on. i blame the "no need to change for life" gearbox oil that bmw enthuses . for life my ass. its a major issue as all the sifus here will attest to.

If there was one lesson thereplica uggs studios learned -- often the hard way -- it was that audiences were in the mood to be amazed and to laugh. Big-budget spectacles like "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" and gut-busting comedies like "The Hangover" ruled the season.

apa ini?wrong thread la bro
