zam ,is dat u? there was a thread in the old forum regarding steel braided hose.Since UDM comes with flexible hose, no point spending ur moolahupgrading it to steel ones. I believe the thread states that its betterjust to upgrade the whole setup(bigger rotors, 6pot calipers & Etc)but hey, i cud be wrong....

I guess if u are running stock rotors than it may not be neccessary ...But i guess it helps when hard braking . So the hoses dont burst dur to pressure ....911 zentrum does it for a nominal charge cheers :D

Mr Hartge,Yup, it's me ... My current setup is fine .. Just that, need more 'feel' to the brake. U know laa a.. my right leg not that strong maaa ... Somemore, now life always begin after 200 kmh !! :p just kidding ....

Abs...hmm...wat i remember 5dot screws up the sytem. Pads EBC greenstuff, doesnt need 2 warm up. 911zentrum does a good job with the hose(TFT base)... u 2 fast 2 furious laaaa...

I have E34 installed with 911 Zentrum's Pro RS brake hose kit. No complaints, love my brakes (ATE power disc and jurid pads) !!!Still, I will be changing the discs to & calipers to E32 ones soon......

OS,535 wants more feel in the pedals, legs bit tired.... Do u thinknow it more responsive/feels than standard hoses???

Just installed the Pro-RS hoses on my e30. IMHO, braking is more responsive in the sense that the brakes "bite" quicker. The "feel" actually feels dead to me 'coz there is less modulation.BTW, the stock rubber hoses aren't cheap either. So if they're due for a change, I'd recommend doing for the steel-braided ones - about same price .... :)

I personally prefer more bite on the brakes, almost no pedal travel and hard feel. So I am not sure if that's what 535i is after.

Master Kor, I was quoted around RM410 all in for 6 potter by znetrum (without brake fluid)....is that about right?OSF...yeah "more bite on the brakes, almost no pedal travel and hard feel"...thats what I am after as well but alas other mods are priority at moment. Will live with stock set up for now. Hope to get the following setup soemtime next year tho:1. ATE grooved front discs2. the zentrum braided hoses3. ATE brake fluidWill maintain stock pads and rear disc setup....If that fails to impress....calvin once mentioned about MB W123 master cyclinder upgrade :) but am not sure whether I want to go down that path coz got stock engine anywayz...overkill comes to mind...

jip,I think i got the steel braided hose for about RM 250 +/- for E30. I think they overkill for the installation. Get it done outside.I am also running the same setup with Koryong. The brake feel is great and it bites during hard/late braking too. :)

elwin & OS,Ok. Need u 2 image dat u hav ran a 20 mile marathon. When u hav finish runing, u go for a drive.Suddenly whilst travelling @ 170km/h , u hav 2 jam on the breaks. With the strenght dat u hav(dog tired), will it bite & bring it 2 a halt? Think dats wat535 is trying 2 point out.Minimal pressure to stop the car??? Wat do think guys??

MrHartge,U are right with ur explaination. My right leg is not that strong. I need something to 'bite' the brake with minimal leg force. When I first change my brakes (all four, new rotor, pads, calipers, service), the brakes were excellent. Just a tap from 200kmh is sufficient to slow down the car. But now, the pedal travel is further down.Hv done bleeding, check servo, master pump, leakage etc. Everything is fine. Brake pads are still thick (even after 2 yrs). Rotor ada makan sikit laaa ...

535,aku kenai hang lama daaa.... so aku kena jaga hang loo...... :D :D :D

go take ur hose to the hydraulic shops....guys who do huge hydraulic hoses....they have steel braded hoses.I did mine for the cluth and it cost me lest than Rm50...veli veli cheap!Proven no problems!...Dun spent too much money buying the ready OEM...its a killer....thats wat i did for my oil cooler hoses, power steering hoses....all no issues!..replacing brake hose is a small matter....if anyone wans....i can help them do it...buy the hose, bake fluid....Dot4? and will gladly do it for you guys!Just for info....my dad use to restore classic cars and bikes.....now he is only doin bikes....no more cars....so i am trained!....no worries!

mr hartge/535I am not that good with words. Perhaps duriong on TT, you can try my car or OSFlanker. To me, yes.. i don't really need to tap hard on the brakes. But the steel braided hose removes the spongyness. It bites when I tap or press on it.Have you guys considered StopTech or Brembo ? Alvin has StopTech on his 320i and OJTee M3 brakes.

elwine30,Thanks for the offer. Might take it up. I did install BREMBO once (the normal one) but it didn't last. Really sh**.OJ running M3 brakes ? Hmmm .. interesting ...1st project - VR4 side mirror, auto start2nd project - OBC3rd project - ABS4th project - 5 lug with M3 brakesI think he nearly cut his roof once; to install sunroof ...
