Hahahaha...actually done already :top:

its actually pretty good with a lot of torque (close to 400! )
rear wheel drive keeps it quite tight around looping corners for something so big and its packed with goodies so its quite good value !

Big and ugly van??? I beg to differ
there are a lot more fuglier vehicles out there and if the starex is a van then so are the 'all-farts' :bandit:

I think it's value for money. 11 seater, frugal diesel engine. Yes, for that kind of size diesel is the way to go. Top speed is a respectable 180km/hr.

...I also saw alot of Estima and Mercedes carry coffin also ...

Way to go Alvin...well said :top:

forums will always have a couple of jerks

Unfortunately the rear seats in the Starex only come configured with 2 point lap belts and not the normal 3 point belts, so cannot secure child seats. What were they thinking? I read somewhere that the Starex in other markets come specced with 3 pt belts. Such a shame as it looks decent and definitely VFM.

Agreed, E28D................that's the downside of the starex.....less safety in the rear.
I think that was a local call......as i understand it, the leathers are locally installed.
Cheers!

The starex now comes with some additions such as body kit, new grille which looks quite garang now..... ggrrrr feel like screwing the salesman for not letting me know !
Anyway, truly happy so far except maybe after sales service should be better:102:

Check this out, so far a lot of happy buyers even shooting down the all-farts....

Here you will also see the latest price....a pix of the face-lifted unit and even addresses Ramsing's question on the removal of seats.

In a nutshell............if you're thinking of a re-cond all-fart....check the starex out,
it

Cheers!

hahaha...so much interest ar suddenly. problem is, i got not enuf kids. maybe need to take wife #2 + #3 to make sure got enuf kids to fill the starex :D

I will got for Starex anytime then those Japo El-Grand or Alphard.

The new facelift looks very fierce and nice.

:)

Yup, agreed with Ken E. The Starex is a looker. Well, looks are relative, and I suppose its all in the eyes of the beholder. But I must say, the Grand Starex does look imposing. It's a MPV right? Saw one with chrome rims and black paint, and I must say, it looks awesome!

Can't imagine me saying that about MPVs, but there you go, a MPV that actually looks cool. :top:
