In Malaysia, there are 2 type of police station (but many branch). 1. One type where you make normal report like theft, loss of personal item, complain against another blah, blah. 2. The type is for traffic which cater for automobile accident and traffic offense like speeding, beating a red light, illegal parking. If you get a summon for a traffic offense, you can go to any traffic police station with the summon. You ask the ticket to be compound (reduce payment) by a police officer by the rank of an inspector. After the officer have approved it, you have to go to another payment counter and pay your fine. Yes you will get a receipt. Please keep the receipt as proof that you have settle your fine. It have been known that sometime the computer glitch will not register your payment. Of course, if you are like Bill Gate, you can refuse to pay and contest the summon at the court with your lawyers or if you have diplomatic immunity, you can ignore the summon. Looking from your post, it look like your are from Sinchaipor. Many of you guys never pay for the summons. Nowadays the traffic police have laptop to keep track of singapore car. They will prevent you from leaving the country if you have not settle your outstanding summons. So please settle all your summons. Malaysia need your cooperation.
