Guru......you can also try Goldenlink Auto at Blk 261 Waterloo Street #01-40. Tel is 63371133, you can talk to David. Advice is to check prices here first so that you can compare when you are in S'pore.....make sure you also call Eng Soon to check their price too.....I find that their prices can be different depending on what you are shopping for
Also when in Waterloo st, make sure you try the Singapore "mee-siam" and "rojak" at the cofeeshop facing main road next to Blk 261....
FYI, Waterloo st is just off Bras Basah Rd which is at the end of Orchard Road...for nite-life "Chimes" is just around the corner too.....enjoy yr trip dude.....

Most parts are far cheaper in S'pore significantly as compared to Malaysia after the exchange rate. Even cheaper nowadays coz Sing dollars has gone down a bit...

of course, it is cheaper provide that you don't get "tax" when you cross the Malaysian custom. However, if you cost the petrol and the toll charges in, it would be more unless the item you buy amount to more than a few thousands.

i have ask eng soon a few time for certain parts price and i find their price is cheaper even after convert to RM. i think if any of u guys going there should pay them a visit

Yup, agree with Mouse. Petrol don't cost much coz it's less than 80km to and fro if you are staying at JB. You guys burn more fuel at KL when stuck in traffic jam or just looking for parking at shopping complexes during the weekend...

No toll at Singapore unless you are counting ERP or the daily charge impose for Malaysian cars. All M'sia cars have a total of 5 free days to go into S'pore per year. Even if you have used up all 5 days, go in after 5pm and you won't be charged S$20/30 (not sure). Only applies on weekdays.

As for tax, just pandai pandai lah...

I buy all my parts from Eng Soon. The price is much cheaper. Been shoppi ng there for few years already.
I have bought steering box, arms,bushes, HID lights etc etc all from them. But I fix them in KL.

Eng Soon supplies to most of the workshops in JB and KL

Roland1888, it's 10 free days a year now and S$20.00 per day if you enter before 5pm. Only 2 free days left for me.....boohoo....
