If we follow by what BMW indicated, the 1st service is at 10k km. I hv a new E90 and have talked to some friends, and one or two hv mentioned to me that its better to do service once before it reaches the 10k km mark. Of course, this 'additional' service of oil & filter has to be paid for by me. But the indicated 10k km service is free (With warranty until 60k km free as well).  My car has just reached 2000km. My driving style - I love to rev the 6-pot engine! But i had a damn hard time reminding myself not to over-rev until 1000km mark passes. Now after 2000km, the engine feels much more responsive and thats what a smooth revving 6-pot BMW engine should feel like...Any members out there with new cars that hv NOT followed the prescribe 10k km service?
