[QUOTE="JoyClub, post: 734942, member: 20985"] A week ago, I experienced serpentine belt and pulley issue with my E90 320d. After dinner, I started the car and immediately dashboard displayed a big battery in red and the iDrive says Charging Fault. The car can barely be driven. Power steering is gone, air-conditioning is gone, etc. Luckily I am within 1 km or so of Ingress service center. Managed to crawl there and left the car there. Was quoted ~RM3K+ to get the serpentine belt and pulley replaced. This is a 2011 model with ~103,000km. My previous 320d, year 2009 had the same failure at about ~40,000km. Googled this in the internet and it seems like this is a known defect that BMW did not want to fix. Anyone else experienced this with their rides or I am twice unlucky! Unfortunately, BSRI just expired at 100K km and I have to pay for it this time. Already spent ~5K right after BSRI expiry....(replaced front brake pads, sensors, etc for ~RM1200 recently too). Now I understand why this brand is known as Banyak Makan Wang....2nd time paying for maintenance/replacement after BSRI expiry. And next month, have to replace the doughnuts as they are getting bald.
