Yup, literally going underwater for all that time. Average dive time approx 40mins/dive and average depth of 40 feet... We have this little book or whatever book you want to use it, is to log every dive that one made. It states the location, dive buddies, dive depth, dive time, sea condition, temperature as well as a brief on what you see or do underwater. Let's say for e.g. like those Open Water Divers...they shd have four logged dives by now. Dive time will start from 0:00hrs...If their first dive takes 20mins, the log will state 0:20hrs and so on..Second dives takes another 20mins, hence the total logged dive time is 0:40hrs..u get the idea. So, as long one keep diving...apart from the certification card that is required to bring along, the log book is the one that will actually states one dive experiences based on the logged dives. A certification card only states your level of diving capabilities and not the experience. As a Divemaster, if there's a group of divers to lead..It's a norm to check not only on their cards but their log books as well. Usual listings to inlcude sightings...i.e. shark, turtle, nudibranch, lion fish, razor fish, squid or cuttlefish, etc...which are notable to notes in one log book. Daredevil, there's great sites down under that one shd not miss. Why not consider taking a plunge? Don't just enjoy the pix, see it live... A totally different world...weightlessnes plus all the marine life wonders!
