From what I've heard, that stain is permanent. Try sending the cap for a detailing job, or just get a new cap to save time & money:)

You probably can try this. The rim caps actually have a layer of transparent plastic over it to protect it from scratches. You can pry the edges of the plastic and tear it off and there goes your sandalwood paste together with it (only if you still have this plastic layer on).

the car isnt brand new, its a premium selection car so i hope to god whoever was using it before us didnt peel it off...will check in the morning, thanks bro :top:

try using meguires scratch X, i had that on my white gti bonnet as well from tree resin which should be the same type of stain. and it buff out easily.

i dont think its sandalwood... kunyit!! or direct translation from tamil will be "yellow" ;)

change the cap!

i've heard this yellow paste is quite corrosive. a few ppl have complained. especially when they put it on their clear plastic areas.

went to AB, was told by an in-house carnauba guy that that the best thing to do would be to change the cap :62:

thats what the guy said too, it must be IMMEDIATELY wiped off if not it eats into the plastic and becomes permanent

forgot to mention, after a couple of months of washing it fades away...problem solved

I would bring out my trusty Meguiar ScratchX. Can remove everything and if rub hard enough, can go all the way into the metal.. :D so if the stain is surface, one rub, kao tim!
