I believe most E38s sold in Malaysia only had traction control as standard equipment but not stability control. For years, stability control was optional on BMWs even in overseas markets, instead of being standard - check out Japan and UK spec BMWs; most have traction control only. Of course stability control is now standard equipment on all current BMWs eg. the E90, E60, E65/66 etc. but as a company which purports to be technologically-driven, surely it would not be too much to expect BMW to fit all E46s, E39s and E38s with stability control as standard right from the outset?</blockquote>
