Happens about 5-6 seconds after switching off the engine. Start car again, idle and switch off and wait for few moments and can hear it again. Sounds like a pop off valve or some sort. Just a blip of air pressure going psssst!.What do you guys (and gals) think? What hoses are in that area that could be the culprit, or is that sound normal??? Could this indicate a leaky/damages/frayed hose???Cheers!
Guys + gals,Have been having very slight idling roughness from the car (E36 - 1998 318i). Have just completed a full service [filters(oil, air, fuel)] plugs, ATF, final drive, brakes etc.. Checked gap, ICV, AFM, O2. Mech says, head gasket leaking but I don't believe this. No coolant evaporation, no oil in water and vice versa, no drop in performance when car running, consumption in town at 10-11km/l as usual. The thing is, I noticed sound of air escaping (very short and fast) coming from the left hand side of the car near the adjutser unit whenever I switch off the engine.
