After test drives of the Mini One, Mini Cooper and Polo GTI, the choices have been narrowed to 3 cars: 1. Mini One 2. Mini Cooper 3. Peugeot 207cc - to be test driven when cars arrive in M'sia (supposedly at month-end) Obviously the Cooper is more powerful than the One, RM20k more powerful :) which moves it out of my friend's budget range. So unless there is a decent pre-reg unit, it's likely to be the One vs the 207cc. Since acceleration appears to be similar (based on specs), it all boils down to the feel during the test drive. She's already happy with the One's handling, so it's now a waiting game for the ship that's bringing the 207cc to make it to our shores.... Btw, the test drive of the Polo GTI didn't impress her. The engine was powerful for the car's size, no doubt, but it was noisy, and the interior trim was a notch lower than the Mini and Peugeot.
