Hi Ron, On my E34 I have Alpina staggered setup consisting of 18" Wheels 8J with offset 20 for front and 18" Wheels 9J with offset 24 for rear. Tyres size are 18/235/40 (Front) 18/265/35 (Rear) No modification whatsoever is needed. Infact it handles better than my previous 16" & 17" with offset of 13 If you have 8 or 8.5J up front the most appropriate tyre size would be 235 or 245 If you have 9, 9.5J for rear you should have at least have 265. Otherwise your tyres will look like a ballon. If you have 10J then you should have at least 275 Whether you need spaces really depends on what is your offset. Would be easier to advise if you could let us know your wheels offset Check here for tyre recommendations: http://www.elitedirect.com/01-wheels/05-tuner/alpina-stuff/alpina-main-stuff/alpina_main.html
